The Entry Level Manufacturing - Hourly Position will perform a variety of duties in either the Assembly or Fabrication Department at GE’s West Burlington, IA facility. This is an entry level, hourly Engineering position.
As the Entry Level Manufacturing - Hourly Position, you will:
Perform a variety of entry-level work, including but not limited to:
Mechanical / wire sub-assemblies
Basic assembly / wiring operations
Draft simple fab layouts / setups
Conveyor loading / unloading
General facility housekeeping duties
High School Diploma / GED
Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing environment
Ability and willingness to stand for long periods of time
Ability and willingness to work various shifts, including 1st and 2nd shift
Ability to read and interpret Engineering documentation at a basic level
Ability to use hand tools (i.e., battery operated drivers, pneumatic tools, screwdrivers, wrenches, mallets, hammers, etc.)
Mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn
Work history in a fast-paced, physical work environment
Functional understanding of safety principles and a safe work history
National Career Readiness Certificate from IowaWorks
Basic computer skills
