Contributes to store sales and profitability by effectively managing all aspects of the deli kitchen operations, to include but not limited to: labor, expenses, stock levels, guest service, and morale.nJob DescriptionnESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESnn Performs tasks as delegated by the Deli Kitchen Manager and effectively leads the Deli department in the absence of the Kitchen Managern Works closely with the Salad Bar clerk, Sandwich clerk, and the Utility clerkn Leads, coaches, teaches, and reinforces Festival culture, guest service, and performance expectations to all deli kitchen associatesn Trains new salad bar, sandwich, and utility associatesn Helps Kitchen Manager write and conduct performance reviews of salad bar, sandwich, and utility associatesn Documents violations of company policies/procedures by deli kitchen associates and conducts appropriate corrective actionn Answers questions and provides guidance to all Deli department associatesn Provides excellent services to all guestsn Assists guests with finding items they are looking for on and off the sales floorn Takes and execute special orders and requests n Answers the telephone and assists callers using proper phone etiquette n Addresses guest concerns with prep and kitchen made items, and resolves issues when a guest is not satisfied with the service or product receivedn Ensures all production standards are being met in the Deli Kitchenn Makes decisions on production levels by studying weekly movement report (items sold) for salads and sandwichesn Fills the knee knockers, heat and eat sections, tray and dip wall, and all special ordersn Makes sure temperatures are being taken on hot bar and salad barn Recipe controln Be sure associates are measuring correctlyn Makes sure recipes are being followed step by stepn Watches dates and freshness of every productn Shrinks the items that are outdatedn Products must be dated and initialed in the cooler/freezern Product presentationn Cleanliness of kitchenn All areas must be cleaned and sanitizedn Veggies must be rinsedn Proper glove use when using a knife with all associatesn Dishes are clean and organizedn Keep cooler and freezers clean and organizedn Must be food safe certifiedn Blast chiller kept cleaned and cooling logs kept up to daten Communicates with other leads and managers in regards to supplies, product, and rotationn Assists in inventory processn Assists all department associates with daily responsibilities while leading by examplen Contributes to overall cleanliness of the department by picking up, organizing and cleaning work areas, shelving, and sales floor as neededn Required to maintain food safety logsn Ensures all quality standards are being met, including quantity expectations at 100% at 10 am and 5 pmnnQUALIFICATIONSnn To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily.
