Maintenance TechnicianGeneral Purpose of this Position:Maintains country club owned facilities and equipment - performing highly diversified duties in installation, troubleshoot repair and maintenance, including: painting, plumbing, electrical systems, doors, floors, roofs and ceiling, and pool and spa maintenance.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:• Maintains and makes general repairs to the plumbing fixtures, copper, PVC, CPVC, lighting systems, appliances, doors, locks, walls, general carpentry metal and wood framing. • Troubleshoot and recommend repair or maintenance to air conditioning, refrigerators, commercial kitchen appliances, electric circuits and pool pumps.• Ability to test swimming pool water; and maintains daily log of water test results for local health department inspections.• Performs routine preventive maintenance (PM) required by club’s PM procedures and complete other appropriate assignments made by the Facility Maintenance Supervisor.• Install and prep for tile, drywall, paint multiple surfaces, pressure clean sidewalks, curbs, paver bricks and apply water proofing and caulking as needed.• Repairs to lighting fixtures, interior and exterior, receptacles, switches, controllers, contractors, transformers, dig and sweep, repair conduit for high and low voltage systems. • Attends departmental staff meetings.Skills and Abilities Required:• Basic knowledge of construction trades to understand repair problems and make minor repairs on electrical and plumbing systems.• General knowledge of hand and power tools and with ability to perform role during emergency situation.• Diagnose problems, test and adjust, make recommendations for repair.• Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations.• Must have a high level of professionalism, honesty, integrity and an excellent work ethic.Physical Requirement and Work Environment:• Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. • Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.• Occasionally exposed to wet and\/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.• Able to meet and perform the physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment which is typical of this position.• Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping and pulling.• Frequent repetitive motions.• Continuous standing and walking.• Must be able to lift objects weighing more than 50 pounds.• Must be available for overtime work, evenings, weekends, and Holidays.• Must maintain suitable transportation.• Must maintain basic tool set.Education and\/or Experience:• High School diploma or GED required.• Post-secondary vocational\/ technical training in electrical engineering, HVAC or refrigeration desirable.• Three years maintenance experience in an institutional or business setting.Compensation:Salary Range: $12.00- $15.00 \/ HourThis is a Full Time Hourly position with Health\/Dental\/Vision\/Life\/401(k).
